This is probably one of the most tonally similar pieces to White Lady. Karen is like a female Kenny Powers who is overly cocky, abrasive and also emotionally fragile all at the same time. Also a great analogue in how they handle sports, creating a fake Timeline for the sports starts career in the show.
Election
Election is a hilarious, sprawling story that spans multiple characters and points of view adeptly. Check this out for a great example of how to juggle a dense comedic story to elevate that into something new and fresh.

At the core of White Lady is a mix of several characters making bad decisions, leading to a wacky screwball comedy with regular folks brushing up against bigger forces they don’t understand and can’t control.
The Big lebowski
Like The Big Lebowski, wrapped up in the core of the story is a noir like mystery with multiple McGuffins driving the plot - What is Ron up to? Who is the signer? Was Karen’s Father really a War Hero? But, really, none of it matters because it’s all just driving these great character interactions and comedic conflicts.
