The animation process is going to be a mix of performance motion capture, real-time 3D rendering and AI rotoscoping on top of the animation.
Traditional animated shows typically require teams of animators to meticulously draw every bit of each character’s intonation, frame by frame. We are going to instead use performance capture to record all of the movements from our voice actors acting out each scene. This information can then be plugged into a real-time 3d engine, like Unreal or Blender, and translated directly into the animation.
To achieve the classic hand drawn animation look, the 3D renderings will then be processed with AI to create a totally new animation style that’s a mix of both the old and new.
By utilizing the newest technology in ai and motion capture and empowering bright, young American artists and writers to flex their muscles, Shitheads can grow into a long-running animation series.
