The future of music visuals
AI assisted music video visuals are here to stay.
What everyone else is doing right now: Deforum & Warpfusion
An example of a typical Deforum Animation
I have Directed numerous live action music videos and I can tell you right now that nothing can replace the dynamic beauty you can get from putting a camera on a great performer and capturing them in a beautiful way.
Artificial Intelligence can produce trippy animation videos really well. We’ve all seen what everyone else is doing with the tech right now.
With apps like Deforum Diffusion, teenagers in their bedroom can now generate trippy AI animations from just a text prompt.
Deforum is great fun, but the results tend to vary so much it’s difficult to use as in professional uses. I wanted to explore ways to take these new animation techniques and apply them to music video production as a more professional tool to enhance our work.

Warpfusion: animating on top of existing video is cool but can be way too flickery for professional use case
WarpFusion is one of the better techniques to add AI on top of existing video. It works well in some cases better than others by using Optical Flow to blend the frames together better.
This technique is really effective at creating cool, trippy worlds that seem like something out of a dream. It’s a good tool in the right use case, but again, the results for professional use vary due to a lot of the flickering issues. These issues are fundamental with WarpFusion, it’s not really the solution for the future to producing high quality AI animated videos but can be a good tool to enhance some shots.
Make it stand out.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
